But there are multiple ways to go about it. You want to choose the best method so you are able to get high quality audience. This will help you in establishing your business or brand. Sometimes I will get questions like ‘hey Nick, I want to make money from my YouTube channel, but I don't have enough audience. I don't have enough subscribers. I cannot enable the monetization option. I say that no, you don't need that. So when some people try to monetize their YouTube channel, all they can do is grow their channel to a point that they can enable the monetization option, so that people can see ad at the beginning of the video. And it's really annoying. So the older way of making money on YouTube is that you have to grow your channel, and then you can enable ads. But guess what? YouTube is really frugal. Yes, it's stingy. They don't really want to give you too much money. So I heard about this kind of complaint all the time. They said the earning from YouTube is really little. So what you can do instead of enabling those annoying ads is you can use your video to build your list. You can build your own following, so we are going to use email marketing, or some people will call it list building. What you can do instead of showing those five seconds annoying videos is just give them a call to action in your video. You can say ‘hey, if you want to learn more, go to my website, or ‘go here to take your free report, or get your free training.’ So we are going to offer something for free in the end, or the beginning of the video. Then you can also have a description under your video. You can ask them to go to your site. So on the site, you don't give away all the training for free right away. You want to build what we call opt-in page, so they're going to leave their email address in order to get your free training or your free report. The beauty of this system is that you get their email address, so you can send them more emails every day. Sometimes you can send the email back to your YouTube video to get more views, or you can send emails to the offer to the product you're selling. That's a beauty because right now, you don't have to worry about buying ads. You can simply reach out to your previous viewer again and again, and for free. That's the power of building your email list with your YouTube channel. You may say: ‘well Nick, but I don't have a product yet. The solution is that you can partner with someone. So it's easy for you to partner with someone as long as you have got an audience in your email list. So that’s the power of that. Lesson: build the list, don't run ads. That is it from this video.
