In this video, I want to show you how you can optimize your YouTube video to get more views and traffic. We are going to do YouTube SEO here. There are three things you need to keep in mind. The first one is you want to make sure your main keyword is in your title and description. You also should have a tag. Here’s what you do to find appropriate keyword. Using chrome extensions such as vidIQ, and TubeBuddy, you search for videos on your particular topic/niche such as content marketing. Thereafter, these extensions will show you all the related keywords, and recommend you some as well. I can copy the keywords I want to the clipboard, and then paste them to my title for the video. The title I have chosen is long enough that it contains multiple keywords. Along with having the keywords, you want to make sure the title is interesting and intriguing. You want to make the most of it. I am going to fill my entire title with keyword. This is not the title people are going to read. Your real title is going to be on the thumbnail. We are going to upload our thumbnail ladder as well. The second part is your description. The description is for YouTube to detect, so they know which keyword to rank your video on. If you have some description, it is really helpful for Google to index or rank your page. This one is really powerful. You also need to add tags. As you can see, you can either add the tags manually, or if you have installed TubeBuddy, they will recommend you tags as well. You want to make the most out of this as well as you can add up to 500 characters. Make sure you can add as much as possible. The vidIQ will give you the SEO score, so you want to make sure you get to the top. We just keep on adding more tags. Then you want to upload your thumbnail. Thumbnail is really important. If you have got a really professional thumbnail, it will not only position you as an expert, it will also get you attention and clicks for your video. Then you want to add your video to the relevant playlist. You can also edit the end screen. Editing end screen can get you ranked better as well as you can get more traffic to your video. So you can import from video, or you can just drag and drop here. In the video element, you can choose a more specific video, or the most recent upload, or the one best for the video. You can save the changes. The end screen will recommend your other videos on YouTube. It can help your video get ranked better. If you want to do further optimization, you can go to subtitles, and upload them. This one is optional, as it is really time consuming, and you may need to hire someone to do the transcription for you. So it is up to you. Then you can make the video Public then, or Schedule it for a later time. That’s how you can optimize your video to get more traffic from YouTube and Google. That is it for this video.
