Do you want to learn about the essentials of Email Marketing? Well, you are at the right channel. In this short video, I will teach you Gary Halbert’s ‘A-pile, B-pile’ theory, and how you can utilize it to become more efficient at Email Marketing, and drawing your audience into reading and responding to your emails. If you see these two emails in your inbox, which one would you be more likely to open? A or B? A, right? B looks like a flyer or a promotional mail. That’s the same thing I learned from the legendary marketer Gary Halbert. Gary Halbert is legendary about direct marketing and direct mail. So he has a theory called ‘A-pile, B-pile.’ He said that when someone receives a bunch of emails in their inbox, the first thing we will do is not actually open and read each of them. We will actually sort them into A-pile and B-pile. A pile means those emails are from your friends or families, and B-pile means those emails which are from companies; flyers, spam, or junk email. Then they will throw all the B-pile emails into the trash. That’s the same thing which happens in the email marketing world as people subconsciously do this sorting. People make a mistake when they make their email look overly professional as when someone opens it, they will know it’s a promotion, and will close and delete it. So when you are writing an email to your audience, you want to make it personal, you want to use your name, you want to use spoken or informal language, and write in a way as if you are writing to your friends. This is how you do email marketing! I hope you enjoyed this video, and learned thoroughly about the A-pile, B-pile theory from Gary Halbert.
