It helps you impart your knowledge, and also earn money along the way. While creating your own course can first appear to be a daunting process, it can become quite easy and profitable if you follow certain practices. I have laid those out in my videos, and trainings. Do you want to publish your online course? In this video, I want to share with you 7 tips you can use to make your course more professional. You should use mind maps. I use mind maps all the time for my outline or presentation. Sometimes I don’t use PowerPoint or Keynote. I just outline the entire course on the mind map. Then I just use the mind map to do the presentation. It looks super professional. It’s super easy for my students to understand. That’s why I recommend you to use mind map. You should create the beta version first. This is because sometimes people will become perfectionists. They will say that I don’t like this version, I would like to re-record. No, don’t re-do that. You can use your beta version to get published, in order to get some feedback from the market place first. Then you can refine your content over time, but don’t be perfectionist. You want to launch your beta version first. You want to keep your video short. Even though you can keep on talking for hours, it doesn’t mean you have to create an hour long video. The best practice is that you keep each video under 10 minutes. Now-a-days, people have a really low attention span, so if your content or video is too long, it is really hard to consume your content. That’s the reason why you want to keep each video short. You want to rehearse and practice. Now you might not want to rehearse, but if you rehearse, you can actually create the videos in a shorter time. If you don’t rehearse, you will have to retake it many times, because you may make mistakes. But if you rehearse, you will find that you have a higher efficiency and higher productivity over time. You have to publish on course site to get feedback. There are many sites like Udemy, Shareskills, so you can publish your beta version here, and people will comment on your course. They will leave you some feedback. You can use that feedback to refine your content. You need to refine your course overtime because even though you have published your course, it is not a done product as of yet. You can always do something to make it better. You can add more content, and over time, you can increase the price. And that’s the reason why you want to keep on refining your course, so you can create a better content, and sell it for higher prices. You want to boost your energy before you create any kind of video. No matter what type of video you are creating, before you start, you want to jump, stretch, and shout out, so you have more energy when you are creating the video. It can make your video really fun to watch. That’s it for the tips today. I hope you enjoyed that.
