Beginner Tries Testing TikTok Side Hustles and Makes How Much?!

Welcome to the first part of a series where I will be testing out VIRAL TikTok Side Hustles! I have been seeing a ton, and I mean A TON of people posting side hustles all the time on TikTok. With so many side hustles, it makes you wonder... Are all of these actually legit, why are they trying to get other people in on it and can you seriously make the amount they claim you can make? Well in this series, I am going to be answering these exact questions! In this video, I looked up the hashtag #sidehustle on tiktok and came across a guy who was claiming to have made a decent amount of money. In the tiktok, the guy instructs you on what to do by going onto Etsy.com, finding a handmade/homemade product, then reselling that exact same product on Facebook Marketplace but upcharging the price a bit. This seems very similar to dorpshipping, the only difference were the sources of suppliers. So I tried exactly that. I listed a few items and waited. After I had no luck, I began listing a few more things and tried getting more attention to my products. I kept trying and trying, when finally I decided to boost one of my posts on Facebook Marketplace. Boosting is basically paying FaceBook to promote your item in front of more people, therefore your chances of selling the item increase. I tried this with one of my items. After 24 hours, I got a decent amount of views and link clicks but no messages or sales. Sadly, I did not have much of any success with this side hustle, and overall, I would rank it a 4/10 on the hustle scale. I gave it a low score due to the complications and scaleability. Even though we did not have success, I still believe you can have success here but only if you do it right. That means, ordering multiple products to your house and actually taking authentic pictures of them. Or even keeping inventory of some items and meeting up locally with people on Facebook Marketplace, or listing them on Offerup or Mercari! In the end, I am happy I got try out this side hustle.
