The Ministry of Labour has conducted more than 6,000 workplace inspections across Guyana’s high-risk and low-risk sectors over the last several years. They have reached more than 27,000 workers through inspections, education programmes, awareness campaigns and stakeholder engagement initiatives. The figures were highlighted by Minister of Labour and Manpower Planning Keoma Griffith during remarks at the AmCham Health, Safety, Security and Environment Conference on Thursday, where he underscored the government’s continued focus on workplace safety
