GEORGETOWN FILM FESTIVAL EXPANDS CARIBBEAN SHOWCASE AHEAD OF ANNUAL FESTIVAL

The Georgetown Film Festival (GFF) is continuing to promote Caribbean cinema through its monthly movie nights while preparing for its annual festival from August 20–23. Held on the last Saturday of each month at Herdmanston Lodge, the screenings provide local audiences with access to regional films and support Caribbean filmmakers. This month's feature is La Bachata de Biónico, a Dominican dark comedy directed by Yoel Morales, which will be screened on June 27. Meanwhile, organisers have received more than 300 short-film submissions for the upcoming festival and are currently selecting the final lineup.
