A Traditional Newfoundland Christmas Dinner 2025

We celebrated our Traditional Newfoundland Christmas Dinner a little early this year, as Dad was heading back to work. Around here, Christmas isn’t about the date on the calendar — it’s about getting everyone together while you can ❤️ On the table is a true Newfoundland spread: 🦃 Roast turkey with homemade gravy 🥔 Potatoes 🥕 Turnip, cabbage, and carrots 🍞 Classic Newfoundland dressing 🍮 Bread pudding, Pea's Pudding & blueberry pudding We can't forget the Salt Beef, that puts the extra taste on the entire Dinner. All Vegetables and puddings are cooked in the same pot, at different times. Like any real kitchen, mistakes happen — and today was no different. But that’s part of cooking and part of life. When something goes sideways, we don’t panic… we recover and carry on. This meal is about tradition, family, and making the most of the time we have together.
