In this video I’m unboxing and taking a close look at the Monogram 1969 Camaro Indy Pace Car kit. Right away, the big draw here is the Indy Pace Car-specific stuff—those special decals and the checkered flag details on the back that really set it apart from a regular street Camaro. I also talk about how, aside from the pace car extras, it’s pretty much the same vibe as an ordinary Camaro convertible kit, so you’re not getting something totally different—just a cool, more unique version of a classic. I also point out that this one offers a different type of engine option, which is a nice touch and gives you something a little more interesting if you’ve built other Camaro kits before. Overall, I think it’s a very nice kit, and if you can find one for a good price, I’d say pick one up. Since it’s an older kit, I’m not dropping direct purchase links because stock comes and goes fast, but you can usually hunt these down at swap meets, model car swap meets, or even eBay.
