In this update #1 on the Tamiya Nissan/Infiniti 300ZX Turbo, I’m kicking off the build and laying out the direction I want to take it—clean, aggressive, and widebody. This is the stage where I like to slow down and plan the basics: what parts I’m going to use, what I’m shopping for, and how I’m going to approach paint and finishing so I don’t create extra work for myself later. I also point you guys to the wide body kit option so you can grab it if you’re building along with me. I also talk about the supplies I trust for this kind of automotive build—especially paint and airbrush setup. Most of the time I’m using Splash Paints along with Tamiya acrylics/lacquers depending on the job, and I stick to the PSI ranges that have worked for me (15–20 PSI gravity feed, 20–25 PSI suction feed). I drop links for Auto Models LLC if you need kits, tools, and supplies, and I list out the tapes and glues I keep in rotation for clean masking and solid assembly.
