VMware Fusion 22H2

VMware Fusion 22H2 Tech Preview is the first build in my testing that makes Windows 11 on Apple Silicon feel genuinely usable. VMware Tools finally works, which unlocks proper display settings, scaling, and a smoother overall experience. It still needs polish (and gaming is still a no), but it’s a big step forward.

Pros

+VMware Tools support finally available for a more functional setup
+Much smoother UI and better display/resolution options (up to 4K)
+Windows Update and general app usage work well once configured

Cons

-Windows 11 64-bit ARM preset failed to boot in my testing
-Internet setup wasn’t fully automatic; I still had to use command-line fixes
-Games like Cuphead and Minecraft didn’t launch properly
