But it never happened. Not a single deer showed itself. And somehow… this hunt ended up being one of my favorites. Instead of antlers or shots, I found something different. Quiet mornings in the woods. The sound of squirrels cutting through the leaves. Birds waking up the forest. Cold air, slow time, and a deep sense of peace you can’t get anywhere else.
