I am preparing a charger for my EV (Polestar 4 ) i have had it for about 3 weeks now, and have been using a grandmother charger, charging at just 10Amps or 2000-watts -ish. This is perfectly possible, with my usages of my car. Forth a back from work is 110Km, witch is around 20KWh of Power,, the grandma charger can put that back in, in about 10-11 hours. (evening and over night) The charger can do 16Amps/3600Watt,, but my wiring and fuse,, would need improving. I am putting in a full 3 phase 11/22KW AC charger. I am not sure what my car can do,, 11 or 22KW's and it doesn't matter much, as I am not planning to even use 11KW. It is way better for the battery to slow charge over night,, than to charge up in 3 hours and do nothing for 5 hours. But in winter when I am not able to run of solar, I will benefit from being able to charge faster, when the power is cheap. There are loses, first charging up my house battery and the my car from the house battery. And the option to charge up tha car from 0% to 100% in 10-ish hours is good to have.
