About This Video

In this video, I showed you exactly how I set up a SOCKS5-style proxy workflow on my laptop, step by step, using the proxy app from my account dashboard. I started from the beginning: logging into my account, going to Personal Center, and then Subscribe—because that’s where you redeem your CD key. I also explained something important: your IPs won’t deduct until you actually connect successfully, so if you’re not seeing a deduction, you’re not connected yet. After that, I walked you through the actual configuration: choosing your country, state, city, and ISP, then right-clicking your selected IP and using “forward port” to push it into your active list. Once you see the green check mark in the port forward list, you’re good to move to the browser side. On Chrome, I used the SwitchyOmega extension, pasted the proxy/port details I copied from the app, and connected. Finally, I tested everything by checking my IP location online to confirm it switched (mine showed United States), so you can be sure your setup is working before you start using it for browsing or other tasks.
