What starts as a simple cardboard template quickly turns into a full collaboration with our builders—shaping flowing arches, sculpting organic curves, and embracing the imperfections that come with creating something truly one-of-a-kind. From chiseling channels for electrical to hand-sculpting plaster into soft, wave-like forms, this build pushes us far outside the box. And that’s not all happening at the mill… We continue progress on our pump house (more on that in next week's episode), running water and electrical systems, and begin grouting our main floor—bringing the space one step closer to feeling like a real home. We also visit a local stone yard in search of the perfect granite for our kitchen island, dreaming up how all the natural materials—wood, stone, and plaster—will come together in the final design. This is one of those episodes where vision meets reality… and not always how we expected.
