Amazon Prime Day is basically here, so in this stream I’m doing my usual pre-Prime-Day sweep on Amazon to see what’s actually worth your time (and what’s just “fake deal” pricing). I talk through how I’m planning to cover the deals once they go live at midnight, and I call out the big thing people always forget: sometimes the “Prime deal” price is literally not a deal. Like with CPUs, I’m straight up not buying certain chips unless they dip under the price range I know they hit before. While I’m scrolling, I highlight a few setup and tech finds—budget desks/chairs, monitor pricing, SSD pricing getting wild cheap, and some of those invite-only deals. The standout was a legit “yoink” moment: a 43-inch 4K Fire TV listed at $99 invite-only, which is honestly insane compared to other sizes and even their lower-res options. I also talk about my own setup changes (I’m done with ultrawide for streaming/gaming) and what I look for in monitors—clean design matters if you’re running dual screens. After the deal scouting, I swap over to Elder Scrolls: Oblivion for more gameplay and vibes, because sometimes you just need that classic Bethesda music and a chill playthrough to end the night.
