REQ6 is my subtractive EQ step in this preset—just cleaning up what needs to be cleaned up. I’m knocking out problem areas and keeping the vocal from getting muddy or harsh before the character shaping happens. If it cuts too much low end for your voice, just roll back the high-pass a bit.
Pros

- -High-pass can remove too much bass if not adjusted
