“what's good everybody it's your boy sling aka mr different and today is a very sad day for my wallet because i have been buying guitar pedals and now i'm going bro so if you could make sure you subscribe to the channel hit the thumb and leave a comment and share this video so i get something to add revenue because uh i gotta buy some more guitar pedals because now i got hit with the virus and yeah i'm sick with the guitar pedals and i want more i need more it's like crack to me it's a drug i'm addicted to the guitar pedals now and hopefully this video you might be as well not just playing but anyway we'll talk about a few guitar players that i got and show you guys what i got so today we'll talk about my first guitar pedal that i ever got this right here is the chase blitz wart vinyl let me go ahead and focus in on that for you the chase bliss warp vinyl and this is the lo-fi pedal basically it's yeah it's pretty much a lo-fi pedal it's supposed to emulate vinyl like the vinyl warble and all that and it's really good it sounds really lush and i'm going to show you guys exactly you know how to how it works how all that good stuff you know show you what i do with it maybe this might be something you want to get to you know i'm a lo-fi guy i love the lo-fi sound even though i don't make low-five beats and this gives me that sound in a very unique way than my standard plugins and other and maybe you you might be interested in some guitar pedals i'm gonna talk about the good the bad about guitar pedals what i like about this pedal in particular and i probably make a video to talk about uh kind of compare plugins versus guitar pedals because you know i know a lot of you guys are gonna be asking about that i know broke gang out there i see you but you know it is what it is so let me go ahead and switch the camera angle so you get a close-up of the ward violence take a look at it listen to some sound examples and then let's talk about this pedal a little bit more let go all right so here we are with the wart vinyl from the gazette chase bliss um this is a i would say kind of like a boutique style of guitar pair because it's a specific type of sound this pedal will set you back about 350 dollars brand new you can buy used of course you might get cheaper but it's a really really good solidly built guitar pedal don't worry about this little pedal over here we're gonna take a look at this bad boy in the next video but yeah as i say this is a really really good um pedal it's a low-fi pedal that's for imma call it the lo-fi pedal but it's really a analog vibrato and chorus plug-in but it emulates that kind of like say that vinyl completely this is the hi-fi version they do have an original version and a mark ii this is the one that's currently being made it's in my opinion the better option you can get the you know the mark ii or the original version it might give you a little bit more of that low-fi aesthetic because it will have more noise into it this one has noise built into it that you can't control but it's pretty clean if you want to be but it can't add some into it so i'll show you so right now i have everything turned off uh inside of fl studio i have this little low-fi ish type b i'm gonna play it real quick then i'm gonna get some routing to it and we'll start playing around with this pedal so this is what the beat sounds like with no pedal i said it's being bypassed through everything so nothing is being engaged right now in it so here's the beat just some good vibes kind of stuff right there so right now i'm gonna we're gonna work on the little e piano part real quick to let your piano so so let's go ahead and send this out of my interface and then i'm gonna get it routed back into this vinyl channel right here so now and i probably got turned down a little bit because uh it's gonna be sending some a lot of signal so i'm gonna turn it down about eight db because we're sending it pretty high out my interface and now i should be able to hear it still playing and then i'm going to engage the vinyl and then we're just going to just get a quick little setting real quick just so you can hear what it's doing and i'll go over each individual knob so now this is with no warp vinyl now i'm engage it [Music] blue [Music] oh you just hear that ooey gooey you know oh i love it it sounds really good so let's go ahead and go through each individual knob and then i'll play around with some of the effects you know to kind of get you going so like i said this is a analog course and vibrato effect but like say it's trying to emulate like say that that that vinyl sound that you get you know that that warble that wobble all that good stuff you know the wall and all that the flutter and all stuff you get so first off let's go everything so up top we have the tone switch which basically the tone switch is going to add in some noise so let me go ahead and mix them now um well before i get into that the mix knob now the mix knob is going to play a big role of how your sound is going to sound like so all the way to the right you get straight vibrato so you get the straight vibrato through this and then if you go halfway fifty percent that's where you get the chorus or you affect so you know fifty percent be chorus 100 be um uh what you call it a vibrato and then of course zero's like no mix you know so just keep that in mind so i'm gonna leave it at on at 50 percent for this example and then let's say i'm gonna play around with the tone right here and this is going to be the toner amp uh re uh ramping if we call yeah the ram is basically going to add in some noise it's going to cut some of the loads as well so right now it's actually cut some of the highs letting more of the lows into it but as you turn it you actually add in more highs and cut more lows and it actually adds in noise as well so let me just go ahead and play that now i'm gonna turn up this and you'll hear that noise coming in [Music] [Music] so that's if you wanna get some of that vinyly kind of noisy it's not really vinyl noises but it's it's noise and it's there it just adds a little bit of life let's say it does cut some of the lows out as well all right next you got the the lag which i which the lag is gonna correspond when you start messing around with this which is the rpm now the rpm is basically you know the rate per minute basically how fast the actual um lfo inside of this is actually working and then you control the depth and the warp so the depth is going to be that kind of uh the difference is how fast it moves um i'm thinking of what depth mean i know i'm kind of weird and then the warp i think is the pitch so the depth of control like say if you turn the rpm up you'll start hearing it and then you start hitting that depth control and then the warp also kind of just kind of messes with the pitch so i'm just gonna play this so you can hear let's turn the depth up so how much of it you get you turn up really heavy you know you try out fast ago [Music] i'm gonna turn in some warping that's gonna kind of give me some of that pitch bend [Music] i mean really lush and really cool right there so and then with the with the controls down here you get um for the for example for the rpm you have the tabs right here now you can't tap tempo so actually this pedal right this switch right here is actually a tap tempo so you can actually click it and actually tap how fast you want that to go i'm not gonna miss that right now but it's indicated with this flashing light you know you can tap tempo i like the tempo right now it is i'm gonna leave it alone and then you can actually control the taps via this switch right here so you got one two and four and basically what that means is one would be one to one so basically the the thing is go one to one two would be be two times fast and then four would be four times as fast and then you can actually have dip switches on the back of it which i'm not going to get to dip switches but the dip switches just pretty much make the thing make this pedal operate in a little different type of way which they make a great video on their channel which i'll actually put a link to the description below you should check out their video all about dip switches of their pedals because the dip switches can make this pedal act completely different and do some more unique stuff but in this video i'm just going to avoid it but that video will kind of explain a lot better but the dip switch actually let you go from uh from one two to four to three six and eight so you can pretty much speed this up rpm up really fast and get some you know really crazy really warbly type of stuff so i really like that now the lag and i like this because the lag basically delays the dry signal and the um the mixing and the wet signal so basically you get more of a lush type of sound so you can actually delay the wet signal slightly or how much you with the lag and get kind of more luscious more kind of smoother sound if that makes any sense which i'm just going to show you [Music] and you can hear when you mess with the leg you actually get more noise as well so if you want a little bit more more noise mess with that leg [Music] i mean really dope and cool with it now you're back to yourself oh it's just it's kind of simple not but there's actually some pretty unique stuff in this especially when you get to messing with the lfo shapes now the lfo shapes are kind of unique and different and weird i like so basically you get a sine wave triangle and square wave for both the start position of the um the pretty the wave and the end position so the first one controls the start position and the second controls the end position so basically you can actually mix and match these and get different type of like kind of uh warbly violently sound so first i'm gonna leave it on first what you're hearing right now is the sine wave so let's go ahead and switch it to switching both to triangle wave so now this is triangle wave go back to sign smooth triangle really good for vibrato and then you got square wave with square wave you can really hear the shapes and i'm putting it on square wave for the front and the back so this square wave got kind of like a pulsating effect and like i said you can mix and match them so i can have like start off with a square wave but end on a triangle shape so and vice versa [Music] i mean very interesting very cool pill i said i love it because i said it's a low-fi pedal you just send stuff through it give you that low five vibe super quick and easy i know what people are thinking right now why would i buy this when i can get you know i can get you know a plug-in to do this well i'll make a video comparing this to a plug-in your favorite plug-ins out there just kind of explain to why you know you either want to go with a guitar pedal like this or a plugin so that would be in a later video so just make sure you subscribe hit thumbs up not a good stuff now i'm gonna go ahead and play a different sound let's go ahead and switch it up and do a piano so i'm gonna send this piano plug in uh i'm actually gonna send this piano plugin out into the world of advice let's play that real quick [Music] there we go so before and then let's speed up the ramp [Music] [Music] i mean just sounds like vinyl [Music] and then let's bring that beat back in [Music] so yeah a very interesting pedal like i said i really like it like i said especially for my first pedal i said i'm i'm big on the low five sound and having it in the pedal right at my fingertips i can easily quickly control everything is super super dope and honest let me go ahead and switch the camera back and then we'll discuss more about this pedal so yeah that was my look at the you know showing you guys the wart vinyl from the guys at chase blitz like i said i really love this pedal except it's a really dope pedal because like i said it gives me that low five sound at my fingertips like i said it's kind of an expensive uh pedal i know there are other pedals out there kind of like this that do kind of that are kind of the same thing but i went with the chase blitz one not only for the sound quality but just the layout the design how well built it is because this the chase blitz makes some really well built pedals and i'm going to be getting a lot more of their pedal i already have ones you kind of seen on the side which that would be in the next video we'll talk about that one but yeah i have to say i really do love this i said it's a really good low five pedal like i said this is great solidly built sounds really great like i said i know some people are gonna be kind of turned off by getting into pedals or hardware but like i said i have a video that will kind of explain and just talk about you know why you should get into this and maybe why you should kind of steer clearer because i know there are people out there who are hesitant like i said if you're like me who want to just kind of you know take the next step in their production to kind of just do a different thing do a different workflow then you know investing in pedals it's like this it's actually a really good investment not explained in the future but yeah if you want you to plug this um i say basically plug-in but if you want to check out this pedal i will put a link in description below i got off amazon two-day free shipping you know how it is i'll put a link in the description below where you can purchase this uh pedal if you so want it and yeah let me know what you guys think are you in the pedals do you have a few pedals if you do link down the screen below let me know some pets i'm looking for more pills to get and with your guys help i can be you know probably you know buy some new pedals and reach out and get some more pedals and all that good stuff and review them on the channel so that being said you know who it is your business akm is different not motivated by the money but the like constraint views with that being said hope you enjoy like always like comment subscribe and all that good stuff catch you guys next video i'm out yeah”
