The Heritage Audio HA-73 EQ is my go-to affordable 1073-style preamp right now because it gives me that warm, mid-focused, in-your-face vocal sound. It’s got tons of gain (I ran my SM7B with no Cloudlifter) and the EQ is simple but super musical for shaping tone before it hits the DAW.
