“what's good everybody it's your boy sling aka mr different back with another video today we're going to do the age old question i keep getting on my channel all the time yo slim different how can i remove background noise and hopefully today we'll check out a plug-in that's supposedly able to do that so we're gonna check it out it's about the guys it weighs it's called clarity vx a brand new plugin that uses the neural network and some advanced ai and all that kind of stuff to actually remove background noise and bring the vocals forward can it really do it is it just a bunch of fluff does it do a good job is it a bad job we're gonna see in this video if this plug-in really does what it claims to do so yeah we'll check it out so yeah let's get to it so this is what the plug-in looks like right here it's called clarity vx it is a plug-in based off the neural network inside of a way he's got the neural net going on so basically a bunch of ai knows and all this kind of stuff pretty cool stuff look up it it's pretty interesting um but basically it is designed to remove background noise and only bring for the vocals now there are two versions of this plug-in there is the regular version which is the affordable version which is right here which is mostly for like the musicians and stuff like that which we're using then they have the pro version which i'm not gonna really touch on too much in this video because the pro version i think is more aimed towards uh post-production houses and video editors and stuff like that people who do like audio cleanup and it's a pretty expensive plug i think starting out at like 250 bucks so i don't think a lot of people are gonna be going towards this but i will show it in action and show you those couple of features just case you know you might be into getting this plug-in but i said the main focus is going to be just right here the clarity vx which is the regular version which is the most affordable version now for example what i am going to do you can see there's a fan right behind me i'm going to actually turn the fan out and let the fan go through the rest of the video and we're actually going to throw this on my vocals at the end in my uh nle so you are my video editor and see how good it cleans up the vocal so either it's going to really mess up my vocals or it's going to clean it up really good so hopefully my vocals don't go to [ __ ] but they do hey it's what it is so uh let's do it somebody will turn on right now so you see them turn on all right you should be hearing some background noise the fan knows and be quiet for a second so now i'm about to switch over and throw it on there right inside my editor so hopefully right now the audio is nice and clean if it's not then i guess plugin needs some work i don't know just gonna switch but then let's get to the video so here we are inside of fstudio and i have clarity vx i'm gonna go ahead and play this little i'm gonna go ahead and play this little track right here which i just did a little freestyle you know how to do freestyle um it has nothing on it it has just a studio rack on it and you're gonna be able to hear the background noise and everything like that and you're gonna turn on clarity vx and see how good it cleans it up and see what it does so here we go yeah we back and you already know what it is your boy i get i gotta go in they hating [Music] now that's what it started with the beat sounds pretty decent with the beat on there it's not bad but when i actually mute the beat and play you actually hear that fan noise just going ham in the background yeah we back and you all know what it is your boy aka mr different i got the fan in the background going on right now and now even with the fan i have a gate on i have a gate on right here it's still going crazy let me just turn the gate off so you kind of see oh let's do that let me turn the gate off so you can really hear what it's doing yeah we back and y'all know what it is your boy sling aka mr different so a gate by itself uh doesn't really remove all of the background noise which you know is obvious of course we we know that a gate biceps not gonna remove all the background noise but if we turn on clarity vx let's see what clarity vx do so right now i'm gonna activate it all this is one knob it has two neural networks so that two different dynamics and you have a reset button and reset the neural network which is pretty dope uh i think you do that after you play it you kind of reset it to kind of calculate it i don't know but i said this is a pretty simple plugin so let's go ahead and play and see what it does with the vocal so i'm gonna play play and then you know turn on and see what happens yeah we back and y'all going on top of the dome i know they gonna piss i mean no oh [ __ ] it okay so huh okay so this is like the first time we really used it in the real world zebras have been playing around with it just kind of on the side but actually hearing it with the beat now here with the song it sounds pretty good like it's not perfect of course you can obviously tell he's doing some kind of filtering and kind of doing some kind of uh what's that stuff called uh reverse polarity um but let's say i guess with the help of the neural network it's kind of can hone in and make better decisions to do that and honestly this is a super extreme example like i had the fan going on a full blast right behind my microphone like you're not going to be doing that in your studio if you record like that your studio you stop recording you're not going to do this it's more like if you got a fan in the background some background noise off in the distance i feel like this player can really do good let me put the beat in there and then we'll turn it on and off to kind of see what it's actually doing because that's i'm putting about 50 percent i think that's what a nice little sweet spot was and i should say so show they be talking this [ __ ] on the low they be mad at me [Music] huh okay well i have to give it aways for one i am very impressed with it it's it's not the cleanest plug-in but in this extreme super extreme uh way of using the plug-in it works really good so i'm thinking on a more subtle way of doing it it's going to sound even better like i'm surprised like usually plug-ins that say claim to remove backgrounders now that never really do it well or they cut so much to the highs and the lows and make the voice sound thin and brittle if this came to me from a artist and he said yo can you fix this for me and i you know i can see myself saving this and being usable like i said once again this is an extreme example you probably won't record with a fan blown right behind you into your microphone you won't never do that unless you're just a goofball so yeah um i'm pretty impressed but let's go ahead and actually open up the clarity vx pro and kind of see you know what that can do because i say and then they this is like i said a more expensive version of the plug-in which i'm pretty sure a lot of you guys are not gonna be buying this one but if you do you know at least play so you can't see what's going on so let's just see how it works but this one has an ambience and a voice knob it has different neural networks there's an extra neural network and it has some advanced controls as well we can pretty much get to like the process amount uh you can control the reflections you can also do individual bands as well i say but this is like a more let's say for more of a if you're working inside of a production house type of plug-in so let's just play and just see what we can do yeah we back and y'all know what it is your boy aka mr different i got the fan in the me but they know i killed i be going well if you could swing the 250 dollars the pro version will in my opinion do a better do a better job is this with more control too yeah but overall both these plugins like like i said you don't see too many plugins that actually claim to you know remove background noise and i think waze have made pretty decent plugins that can remove some background noise so if you're looking for a pretty affordable plug-in to remove some background noise clarity vx is definitely the one for you link description below if you're in like say more heavier situations maybe doing uh dialogue and you're doing more you know video editing work the pro is definitely worth it it gives you more controls or heck if you you know you're in the studio but one thing i will say about these plugins is they are pretty cpu intensive so you will need to up your buffer size because you cannot use these plugs in real time you don't even try to use them in real time it will glitch out and fart and go crazy so be careful with that like i said i think they're pretty they're efficient but i still think they use a little bit of cpu because i said they are using a neural network to use crunch numbers and all this good stuff but hey it does the job so if it's something you can swing definitely check it out check i think they got a demo down below check it out on their website um linksys description both for all these plugins i'm impressed with it so yeah that is the clarity vx and you know clearly vs pro like i said the whole time this video has been going on that fan has been on and i'm gonna probably snap it over real quick as you can see the family going on the whole time i've not turned it off so yeah that's great so uh hopefully you know the audio with the two messed up but i can say like always you know it is your bustling akm is different not motivated by the money but the light couch guy and views hope you guys enjoy like always uh let me know what you
