It's been so fun playing around in a new century - there are so many new and shiny things to make! These late 18th century Market Bonnets were very fun to research and drape up a pattern for, and now I have a pair of silly fun hats! I made the brim with two different period methods, and they each have their pros and cons - the red boned brim has the excellent advantage of being able to go completely flat when not worn - good for storage! The green 'pasteboard' brim is so crisp, clean, and smooth - very lovely as a finished hat. I look forward to wearing them at Brandywine, along with my fellow bonneted hobbit sisters :D Colonial Williamsburg reference hat: https://emuseum.colonialwilliamsburg.org/objects/2205/bonnet More bonnet pictures: https://www.pinterest.com/morgandonner/hobbity/bonnet/ 00:00 Intro 2:20 Pattern Making 6:25 Red Hat with Boned Brim 12:15 Green Hat With Board Brim 17:55 Decorative Bows 22:50 Finished Hats ★Follow me! ★ Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/MorganDonner Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/morgandonner/ ★★★ - Products Used in This Video - ★★★ Amazon Affiliate Page for links to my various sewing supplies and camera equipment: https://www.amazon.com/shop/morgandonner
