This week is Instagram news: Instagram is about to roll out a new creator fund. This creator fund will allow Instagram content creators to make money off of the IG Reels that they post. This will be the new way to make money from Instagram for your reels. This new fund will work off of Instagram's ad revenue, sort of like YouTube. Instagram reels will surely see more competition and more posts as millions of creators fight to get ad revenue from Instagram for their reels. Nonetheless, it's still awesome to see that IG is trying to create an easier way to monetize on their platform. Also, Instagram (meta) is in a battle with the canadian government. Canada is trying to make several tech companies split their revenue with news outlets, who are reposted. Instagram's algorithm is said to change for canadians if this happens - canadians could possibly stop seeing news on social media altogether. Lastly, we talk about a popular actress who lost a role because she didn't have enough Instagram followers. Growing followers is a good goal to have if you're trying to grow your personal brand online or on social media. For more information on your growing your Instagram account, check out this video I recently made: https://youtu.be/qRYAm3hGS9Y Via that video: Instagram's algorithm has changed in 2023. Instagram's new algorithm is updated and very different from the Instagram algorithms that we saw just last year. Instagram's algo isn't prioritizing the same the posts and hacks that it has in the past, so today I talk about how the algorithm has changed and what you can do to keep growing on Instagram. Growing on Instagram right now isn't as easy it was last year. Instagram reels aren't an easy growth strategy anymore. IG reels have become saturated and overly competitive. There are more people creating Instagram Reels right now than there were before - which means it's harder to get big views on your reels. Without easy views, easy reach and easy growth on Instagram, growing a small or new account has become harder. Getting followers has become a challenge for many creators on Instagram. So here are some of the tips and tricks you can implement to grow faster on Instagram in 2023: First of all, always look for the new update and the new features. Oftentimes, the easiest and fastest growth you can get on Instagram, comes with the early use of new features and post types. That's why Instagram Reels could get you a ton of attention and followers just two years ago, but today, it's much more difficult. Taking advantage of new tools, features, and updates on Instagram is almost always helpful for your page's growth. Secondly, you can pay for followers - just be smart about it. Do not buy Instagram followers from a third party website. Buying fake followers will get your Instagram account into trouble. If you do have money to spend on Instagram growth though, you can effectively buy followers with ads. I don't recommend paying for ads directly through Instagram. Instagram ads kind of suck for getting new, engaged followers in my opinion. Instead, I would focus on influencer marketing and Instagram shoutouts. If you've got a budget to promote your Instagram account, then I would try to pay for shoutouts from larger pages in your niche. These larger theme pages, that are similar to yours, should offer you better conversions on getting new followers. Thirdly, I typically like to use the follow for follow method when I'm growing new IG pages. The follow for follow method (F4F) can be an easy way to get your page in front of new people and gain more followers. This method isn't an explosive growth technique, but it'll help to you to grow your page early on and get a core fan base of followers. Don't overuse this Instagram growth hack though, because you can get your page action blocked, which will lead to a drop in reach and exposure. This is why many people see their Instagram account suddenly stop growing. You don't want to hurt your trust score with Instagram's algorithm. Try to use all of Instagram's targeting and tagging tools. Instagram gives us so many options to try and get in front of more people, so I recommend using these tricks. On top of this - stay consistent. Posting several times per day, 5 or 6 days per week is ideal. If you want to grow on Instagram, then you need to post on Instagram. Instagram Reels are not necessarily the best way to grow on Instagram. For some of my pages, I see better results with photo posts and carousels. So I do advise you - test different post types on your page and find out which ones work best for you.
