Instagram ads, which are really just a watered down version of Facebook ads, are actually not the best way to pay for followers on Instagram right now. Instagram ads are inefficient for Instagram follower growth, and in turn - very expensive. Paying for ads on Instagram is not the best way to pay for growth on IG. And let me be clear, neither is buying followers from a third party website. Do not buy Instagram followers. Directly buying followers for your Instagram page will get you into trouble in the long run. Once again, do not pay for 'real' followers. In every case I've seen, buying IG followers will hurt your account and your organic growth over time. These followers are usually fake and will cause your engagement and reach to go down on Instagram. Here's the tip that I've discovered is best for getting followers on Instagram: Influencer marketing a.k.a paying for shoutouts. Buying shoutouts from other Instagram accounts that are similar to yours can be a good route to take. When you purchase shoutouts on Instagram, you can negotiate on pricing to potentially get followers for cheap. Please make sure though that you're getting advertisements and shoutouts from pages that are in the same niche as you and your page. In other words, find an Instagram account that has the audience that you want, and see how much they charge for shoutouts. With most creators on Instagram, you'll just have to ask them in DM's. Do not buy Instagram followers from a third party website. Buying fake followers will get your Instagram account into trouble. If you do have money to spend on Instagram growth though, you can effectively buy followers with ads. I don't recommend paying for ads directly through Instagram. Instagram ads kind of suck for getting new, engaged followers in my opinion. Instead, I would focus on influencer marketing and Instagram shoutouts. If you've got a budget to promote your Instagram account, then I would try to pay for shoutouts from larger pages in your niche. These larger theme pages, that are similar to yours, should offer you better conversions on getting new followers.
