The Texas State Capitol grounds were beautiful and super lively—kids playing, people hanging out, and plenty to see outside. We didn’t make it inside because the entry line was massive and tours were about to end, so next time we’re timing it better.

- +Beautiful grounds and a solid gift shop even if you don’t go inside
- +Great family-friendly outdoor stop when the weather is nice

- -Entry lines can be very long with limited security checkpoints
- -Tour timing matters—last tour can sneak up on you
