Hay y’all, come with me to Monster Mania 65 because this weekend was a whole EXPERIENCE. In this vlog I’m taking you behind the scenes while I explore the vendor halls, check out all the spooky collectibles and art, and just soak up that horror-con energy. I also get to do interviews, so you’ll see me chatting with people and getting little bite-sized moments of what makes this con so fun (and honestly, so easy to get overwhelmed in the best way). The biggest moment for me? I judged my very first cosplay contest. I’m sharing what it’s like being on the other side of things—watching everyone’s hard work up close, seeing the performances, and trying to be fair when there are so many amazing looks. Quick note too: I included an edit because I learned that white sage is a closed cultural practice. I didn’t know when I filmed, but I really appreciate the people who told me respectfully, and I’m taking that with me moving forward.
