In this one I’m coming to you live from the Chattahoochee River with a big announcement: it looks like 100% I’m heading to Trail Days in Damascus, Virginia (May 15–17). This’ll be my fifth Trail Days, and I’m doing a roll call because I want to know who’s going—especially if you’re camping in Tent City. I’ll be back toward the woods (not the riffraff side), and I’m pumped to link up with my buddy Backpacking with Buckley (Hilltop Packs), Ben McMillan, Joey Outdoors, Cody Wanders, Fish, Carter in the Wild, and more. I also talk about changes ahead for me: I’m stepping back into the professional world and working in the outdoor industry this summer (not naming the company yet). That means I’m cleaning up my act—haircut, more clean-cut look—but I’m still backpacking and still making videos, just not as frequently. And yes… hikers stink. It’s not just the sweat; it’s the backpack straps that ferment over time. If you’re new to Trail Days, I share my best tips: get there early for parking, keep your cooler secured, bring plenty of water, and hit the vendor giveaways.
