About This Video

In this final video of my interactive Google Slides series, I show you how to create drag-and-drop Google Slides using the backgrounds and images we already made in Canva. The whole goal is to help you build activities that feel interactive for students without making things complicated or time-consuming—because as moms and teachers, we need simple systems that actually work. I also share that the thumbnail for this video was made in Canva too, because Canva is my go-to for keeping everything consistent and professional-looking. I walk you through the basic workflow: bringing your Canva background into Google Slides, adding your movable “drag” pieces as images, and setting things up so students can click and move items around on the slide. This is a great option for Outschool classes, online ESL lessons, and any digital activity where you want students participating instead of just watching. If you’re newer to online teaching and want support, I also invite you to reach out by email so you don’t have to figure it all out alone—and I share a few free resources to make course creation and classroom setup much easier.
