Hello everyone! In this video, we are combining the awesomeness of Canva with Google Slides! I love making my own designs, presentations, and worksheets for my online classes, and Canva is my favorite tool for that. Interactive Google Slides require a background that can't be moved around, so I want you to see how you can still design your own and make this happen. The thumbnail for this video was also created with Canva - ready to go Pro? https://canva.7eqqol.net/MercifulMornings If you are just getting started with your online teaching journey and would like some help through the application process, I would love to be your mentor and coach! About This Video

In this video, I’m showing you step #1 for creating interactive Google Slides: making a background that students can’t accidentally move around. If you’ve ever tried to drag-and-drop pieces in a Google Slide and everything shifts (so frustrating), this is the fix. I’m combining the awesomeness of Canva with Google Slides because Canva is my favorite tool for designing my own presentations, worksheets, and class materials for online teaching. I walk you through how to design your slide layout in Canva (yes, even the thumbnail for this video was made there), then bring that design into Google Slides as a non-movable background. That way, your interactive elements can sit on top while your design stays locked in place. If you’re building activities for Outschool, ESL, or any online classroom, this simple system saves time and keeps your lessons looking polished. And if you’re just getting started with online teaching, I also share ways I can support you through the application process—because you don’t have to do this alone.
