Sibling was founded in Melbourne in 2012, the practice is directed by Amelia and Nick, along with Qianyi Lim and Timothy Moore. The practice aims to make people's lives better, by creating environments and means to respond to people's needs and desires and most importantly making everyday life more engaging and fun! Collaboration as a means for weaving people and place into their design resulting in playful and unconventional ways of celebrating the way people live their lives in the infrastructure. Through a research-based approach to create new design with an emphasis on culture and connectivity, Sibling's design spreads over multiple scales and types including commercial, cultural, institutional, landscape and domestic. — This talk was part of the ‘Removing Barriers, Beyond the Classroom’ series, for the students of Architecture Design Thesis at the Melbourne School of Design, University of Melbourne. This series is intended to point toward life after uni, by introducing students to inspiring thinkers and do-ers who are working in different ways.
