Mel Bright on Design for Light

Mel Bright is the founder of Studio Bright, founded in 2006. Their ethereal projects are defined as much by form as by atmosphere – of materials, light, and connection to nature. Recent projects have won AIA National Awards, and the Dezeen Urban House of the Year, among many others. They demonstrate architecture as a form of generosity and craft. — This talk was part of the ‘Removing Barriers, Beyond the Classroom’ series, for the students of Architecture Design Thesis at the Melbourne School of Design, University of Melbourne. This series is intended to point toward life after uni, by introducing students to inspiring thinkers and do-ers who are working in different ways.
