Georgia is an associate editor at Architecture Media, a graduate of architecture and a proud descendant of the Birpai, Dunghutti and Kamilaroi people. Her work across festivals, publications, and events is an important contribution to creative dialogue in Australia. Through her work, she seeks to provide platforms to share First Nations Knowledge and experiences, with individuals and the greater industry, to reshape architectural thinking, processes and hopefully the trajectory of project outcomes in Australia. Along with her role at Architecture Media, she is co-curator of the Asia Pacific Architecture Festival, a member of the Australian Institute of Architects First Nations Working Group and Cultural Reference Panel and a member of the City of Melbourne’s Design Excellence Advisory Committee. — This talk was part of the ‘Removing Barriers, Beyond the Classroom’ series, for the students of Architecture Design Thesis at the Melbourne School of Design, University of Melbourne.
