Most people vibe code the wrong way. They open Lovable/Bolt/Replit/Firebase Studio, type a massive prompt like “build me a task manager,” and for the first few minutes everything looks magical—nice UI, nice buttons. Then the problems start: buttons don’t work, data doesn’t save, UI doesn’t match the database, and the app feels weird and inconsistent. The reason is simple: the AI has no idea what your database looks like, so it starts hallucinating fields and relationships as you keep prompting. In this video, I show my database-first workflow—the same mindset real devs use. I treat the database like a house foundation: if the structure is weak, no amount of UI polish will save the app. I demonstrate the “wrong way” (a single prompt) versus the “right way” where I first prompt the AI to generate a proper schema: table formats, relationships, and final SQL. Once the schema is clear, UI generation becomes predictable, the code stays more organized, and scaling (adding members, API layer, new features) becomes way easier because the data model is already solid.
