Thank you for your support! ⌚Timestamps: 0:00 Savory Shrimp and Pepper Stir Fry 0:09 Main Ingredients 0:48 Make the Shrimp Marinade 2:04 Slice the Vegetables 7:48 Make the Soy Sauce Mixture 8:42 Sauté the Vegetables 11:09 Fry the marinated jumbo shrimp 12:21 Add the soy sauce mixture 13:02 Add the sautéed vegetables back in 14:10 Taste Test the Savory Shrimp and Pepper Stir Fry ⬇️⬇️ RECIPE INGREDIENTS ⬇️⬇️ • 1 Pound of Jumbo Large Shrimp - Cleaned Deveined and Peeled • 1 Poblano Pepper - Cut into Large Strips • 1 Red Bell Pepper - Cut into Large Strips • 1 Cubanelle Pepper - Cut into Large Strips • 1 Sweet Onion - Cut into Large Strips • 1 Green Onion - Chopped keep the leafy part separate • 1 TBSP of Minced Garlic • 3 Slices of Ginger • 1/2 TSP of Red Pepper Flakes • Salt to Taste • Pepper to Taste • Oil for the Pan 👉Shrimp Marinade: • 1 TSP of Old Bay Seasoning • 1/2 TSP of Lemon Juice • 1 TSP of Water • 1 TBSP of Oil • 2 TSP of Cornstarch Note: Adding cornstarch to marinate shrimp is a technique known as velveting in Chinese cooking it creates a protective coating that keeps shrimp incredibly tender, juicy, and silky while preventing them from becoming rubbery or dry. 👉 Soy Sauce Mixture: • 1/4 Cup of Chicken Broth • 2 TBSP of Soy Sauce • 1/2 TSP of Black Pepper • 1/2 TSP of Red Pepper Flakes (Optional for Heat) • 2 TBSP of Oyster Sauce • 1 TSP of Cornstarch for Thickening 👉Cooking Instructions: • In an oiled cast iron skillet over medium-high heat, add the ginger and vegetables and rice wine; sauté until tender but still a little crunchy, about 1-2 minutes. When done, remove them from the pan, place in a bowl, and put them aside for now. Next, in the same skillet over medium heat, add some oil to the hot pan and add in the marinated shrimp and sauté for 1-2 minutes on both sides until pink and cooked to your liking, then lower the burner temperature to medium-low and add in the soy sauce mixture and continue to stir-fry until the sauce starts to thicken, then add in the vegetables and give them a stir until everything is coated evenly and you're done. Serve topped with green onion leaves. Also, you can serve it over rice or noodles with your favorite beverage.
