Cans of Asparagus Whole Spears • 2-3 Cups of Regular Milk • 2-3 TBSP of Instant Potatoes • 2-3 TBSP of Butter • 1 TSP of Minced Garlic • 1/8 TSP of Cayenne Pepper • Salt to Taste • Black Pepper to Taste • Garlic Powder to Taste • Onion Powder to Taste • Parsley 👉Cooking Instructions: • In a saucepan over medium-high heat, add about 1 TBSP of butter to the pan and melt the butter. When the butter is melted, add in the minced garlic and sauté to release the fragrant flavor of the minced garlic, then add in the bottoms of the asparagus and sauté them in the butter to soften them up some. When they have softened, add in 1/4 of the milk and stir and simmer the bottoms of the asparagus until tender, then use a stick blender to blend the asparagus bottoms until smooth. Next add in more milk, about 1/2 a cup, and use the stick blender to blend it smooth, then add in all the asparagus spears and the rest of the milk, lower the burner temperature to medium, and blend the asparagus spears with the stick blender until smooth. Season to taste and continue to stir, then use the stick blender to blend in the instant potatoes to thicken the soup. Next add in some butter to taste when done to your liking, remove from the heat and serve topped with some of the cooked asparagus tips and sprinkle with some parsley flakes.
