There are countless stories of how annoying Rolex AD’s are - needing to show interest, be put on a waiting list, and made to wait literal YEARS and STILL not getting the call. Maybe it’s because I wanted the Rolex Explorer 1 - and not say, a Daytona, GMT Master II, or Submariner, but my purchasing process was very smooth. Went to the AD on October 17th, and less than two weeks later, got the call - or rather - got the text, and drove down the next morning. 0:34 The “How” If you’re considering starting a video production business, I recommend starting with car dealerships. They are a fascinating business structure (at least in Canada and the USA), where although there’s a huge multi-national brand’s logo on the door, virtually all dealerships are owned by a single human being or family, which makes getting in touch with the decision-maker on spending exceedingly easy (while benefiting from those dealership businesses having deep pockets). In terms of gear, here’s my recommended starter kit (but of course, do your own research, and most importantly, search used gear on FB Marketplace etc). Two things happened. THING ONE: working a 9-6 and realizing that living paycheque to paycheque was never going to change, while simultaneously meeting someone who - like me - was a high school dropout, and yet, as an entrepreneur who installed toilets on his own schedule, was earning more than five times what I was earning working at big company, I got to see - first hand - that entrepreneurship was both the ONLY way to earn significantly more, but more importantly, that it was possible for an uneducated person like me.
