Throughout life, you'll face inflection points that'll require you to make hard choices, and in this video, I'd love to share an easy exercise on how to make tough decisions confidently and conquer the 'What Ifs' monster that keeps us all from making hard choices, and of course I've included a free PDF Workbook for the quick exercise called FearSetting, which I learned from the work of Tim Ferriss: 🚨 FREE FEARSETTING WORKSHEET PDF: 🔗 https://bit.ly/FearSettingWorksheet 👈 For Print/Handwrite 🔗 http://bit.ly/FearSettingGoogleDoc 👈 For Typing/GoogleDoc 🔗 "The 4 Hour Workweek" by Tim Ferriss on Amazon: https://amzn.to/3kr4nTh (as an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases, with no extra cost to you) ============= •TIMESTAMPS• ============= 0:00 - Intro 1:09 - Free Workbook Overview 1:36 - A Powerful Quote & Concept 2:39 - Guided Page 1 - "Defining Damage" 3:43 - The Importance of Specificity 4:10 - Preemptively "Prevent" Damage 5:14 - Identify "Repair" in the Event of Damage 5:59 - If You Find Yourself Stuck... 6:19 - Guided Page 2 - "B-Grade Benefits" 7:05 - Why FearSetting is so Effective 7:18 - Guided Page 3 - "Cost of Inaction" 8:22 - Self-Paralysis is All Too Common 9:09 - Do You Even Know How to Set a Real Goal? Fearsetting is a system on how to decide, or perhaps more accurately, how to confidently make better decisions. When we're facing a hard choice, you and I both know that oftentimes, it's easier to just do nothing, and accept life the way it is, even if we're not completely happy. Making a choice can be so empowering, but it helps if we have a reliable way that'll guide us on how to make a decision. We may be wonder how to decide on a career, or how to decide on a college major, or hell, how to decide whether or not college is right for you. It may be relationship-based, like whether or not we should ask someone out, or whether or not we should break up with our significant other. It may be responsibility-based, like whether or not we should get a pet. It could very well be financial-related, like how to decide whether or not to make a major purchase. I do this FearSetting exercise at least 6 times a year, and it's become mental muscle-memory at this point; as soon as I find myself spending more than 30 seconds on a choice that has potential consequences, I whip out the Fear Setting worksheet and spend the 10-20 minutes to complete it, and it has never let me down. That's why I made this video, because I hope it'll be as helpful to you as it has been for me! #GetItTogether #HowToDecide #FearSetting Want to connect more?
