I've turned into the person I used to make fun of in my head and switched from disposable pod-style morning coffees to pour-over morning coffees. In this video I compare a $100 vs $500 coffee setup and share everything I've learned and experienced - especially answering what's the REAL impact of switching from passive button-press okay-ish coffee that I needed to add cream and sweetener into - versus deliberate active pour-over that tastes delicious black. 🙏 Thanks to Tactile Turn for sponsoring this video. ✅ SAVE 10% using code: MAURICEMOVES at: 🔗 https://bit.ly/TactileTurnBoltActionPen ================= TIMELINE & LINKS 🔗 ================= Some of the links below are affiliate links. Worth it? Impact? Results? 5:57 - What the heck is the POINT though? ======================================== For over a decade, I'd been using Keurig single-use coffee pods for my morning coffee. That first coffee, or as I like to call it: wake-up juice, is something that so many people (if not most), including myself, consider a necessity to get going each day. I made the switch to pourover coffee quite recently (around 3 months at the time of uploading this video). The first time someone who knew what they were doing brewed one for me, I was skeptical, because for my entire life, I'd been dumping cream and sweetener into my coffees and the few times I'd had black coffee (if I ran out of cream at home), tasted disgusting. But that pourover she made - the first one I tried - was shockingly delicious, and I had to have more... it was like, prior to that, I had only ever had something "called" coffee, lol - and so I dove head-first. I'm of course, nowhere NEAR a coffee expert, but I think I've honed the best pourover coffee routine for me - that lets me have a consistent baseline process for each new roaster's beans I try, and am able to tweak until ideal for my tastebuds from there. Ultimately, coffee for billions of people worldwide is all about productivity, which, if you've been with me for a while, you know is a topic I love exploring...
