You’re not beholden to the algorithms of the social media platforms, the design and look of them, or even how you can sell things. With an email newsletter, you control the messaging, the design, and how you sell your products or services. Getting started with an email newsletter can be confusing though. What tool should you use to manage it all? How do I even get people to sign up for my newsletter? How often should I send my newsletter? These are just some of the questions I had when I got started. I’m still learning all about having a great email newsletter, so I brought in Bev Feldman, who is “an email marketing fairy godmother” as she puts it. Bev is someone I’ve gotten to know through ConvertKit’s Craft & Commerce conference and is an expert in using ConvertKit, an email newsletter tool for creators.
