The house was a traditional 100 year old wooden house with a leaf roof. In this video I’m going to give you a full tour of the homestay in this amazing village, and we’ll learn a lot about the Shan culture. It was quite cold when we visited (filmed in December), and it felt great to wear a jacket in the morning. There’s nothing better than waking up to the smoke of a fire, coffee, and hot rice congee porridge brewing. We had congee, fried local river fish, and the highlight for me - crispy fried local grown garlic. Amazing meal, and and incredible house. Price - 450 THB ($14.36) per person, per night 🏠 Highly recommended Homestay in Muang Pon village (https://goo.gl/maps/i4HsXTQDEzJdnHQa6).
