Today we’ll drive from Ha Giang town to Don Van, stopping along the way at a few beautiful spots, eating lunch and dinner, and going on a spectacular hike! Normally the Ha Giang loop is famous for going by motorbike, but with my son, we decided to go by van. When we set off in the morning it was quite cloudy and drizzly. So unfortunately when we got to one of the mountain passes, there wasn’t much of a view. But luckily the weather got better throughout the day. We stopped for lunch to eat some black chicken with ginger which was excellent. We finally arrived to Dong Van and took about an hour hike through the mountains and a few villages, which was spectacular. We finished the day in Dong Van, just a stones throw from the China border, which a local black chicken and herbal hot pot. A big thank you to YESD Travel Vietnam for making this happen: https://yesd.org/ Highly recommended for authent and responsible tours in Vietnam.
