And without any tourists, tour companies offering tours have had to come up with new ideas and ways to earn a living to support staff and community. #withme #ThaiFood #Bangkok I’ve known Simon from https://www.expique.com/ for many years, and he messaged me saying they started doing market meal experiences, delivery to your house in Bangkok, by tuk tuk. I thought it was a pretty cool idea, and great way to support the community. Additionally, for every meal bought, they also donate a meal in the community. I thought it would be great to support this project and I personally ordered a meal for 2, plus some extras. My total price came to 1,800 THB for everything. I had no idea Simon was going to show up in the tuk tuk as well! Since the food and experience all came from Bangkok’s central flower market, meal came decorated with plenty of flowers, all packed into a pinto. Rice at the bottom, and chicken pumpkin massaman curry, sweet chicken salad, and pad cha style barramundi. The meal kit also included a mocktail drink, snacks like kaprao samosas, and a range of Thai desserts. Thai meal was great, and some of it was sourced from vendors at the market while other dishes were cooked by staff. I thought it was a great meal, and could be fun for an entire family.
