Here are all the spots we tried: Empanadas el Calvo (https://maps.app.goo.gl/KZPHu97VrUENyLY5A) - The best way to start your day is with an empanada, and this places makes some big and fully loaded empanadas. Price - 75 Pesos ($1.19) each D’Mellos Pasteles en Hoja (https://maps.app.goo.gl/CTZ17S6bj9Kqit5Y6) - Next up we’re trying Dominican style pasteles, big tamales made from plantain steamed in banana leaves. Price - 150 Pesos ($2.38) each Cafeteria Comedor Mary (https://maps.app.goo.gl/K7FvDNBDiDgBxzjA6) - This was one of the highlight meals of the day, an entire tray of Dominican food included rice and beans, stew, and an amazing avocado and banana. Price - 1,100 Pesos ($17.48) for everything Pica Pollo Joa (https://maps.app.goo.gl/M952KbfZn6wAceaS8) - One of the greatest of all Dominican street foods is pica pollo fried chicken, legendary. Price - 400 Pesos ($6.36) Picalonga en la Avenida San Vicente - Another night time street food in Santo Domingo is Picalonga, an assortment of meats grilled and fried. Price - 450 Pesos ($7.15) Claudio Chimi (https://maps.app.goo.gl/4vCJ9CMJvcxYMNks9) - But the king of street food in Dominican Republic is the chimi burger, a unique burger creation and something you have to try when you’re in the DR!
