MOONDROP CHU

The Moondrop Chu are $20 IEMs I’ve been using for months, and for gaming they straight up overdeliver. They lean neutral (not a boomy V-shape), so positional cues like footsteps come through clean in Valorant, CS:GO, Apex, and Fortnite. Just be aware QC can be a thing—I had to replace my first pair due to channel imbalance.

Pros

  • +Excellent value for $20 with surprisingly solid sound for gaming
  • +Neutral tuning helps positional awareness and footsteps
  • +Metal build feels classy and not “cheap”
  • +Includes Moondrop Spring Tips, silicone ear hooks, and a pouch

Cons

  • -Quality control can vary (I had left/right channel imbalance on first unit)
  • -Non-detachable cable hurts long-term longevity and modding
  • -Cable is dangly and has no cinch for organization
  • -Can cause soreness after a couple hours depending on your ears
