DIY Chop Saw - A Chainsaw Hack

42.3K views· 456 likes· 15:18· Jul 4, 2019

This is how I converted my Stihl 029 chainsaw into a metal cutting Chop Saw or Cut Off Saw. This is a bolt on attachment that only required modifying the clutch bell for a roller chain sprocket. If I need to cut wood, I can always just put the old clutch bell, bar and chain back on the chainsaw and use it for it's original purpose.
