Spackling is my go-to “cheap and easy” filler for smoothing seams on cardboard builds, and it sands down fast. In this mask, it’s used generously to erase the template lines and bumps before the fabric cover goes on. Because spackle is soft, sealing it afterward is a smart move to reduce cracking and dents.
