Unit 5: Community Biology, Gel Electrophoresis

This week we look at the broad strokes of biology including microbiology & biochemistry, explore the wonders of the micropipette, begin to understand the polymerase chain reaction, gel electrophoresis, bioleather, bioplastics, and more. This work preps the class to use the MakeHaven community bio room to extract and replicate their own DNA. MakeHaven facilitator Nora leads this process.
