I walk through what it’s for—sanding interior radii and curves that are annoying (or impossible) to hit cleanly with regular sandpaper—and then I show how to swap spindles and table inserts to match the diameter you need. I also cover the two main spindle styles you’ll see on this machine: the ones that tighten with a top nut that expands a rubber core, and the smaller spindle that uses a tiny set screw (with the “small spindle wrench” that’s tied on so it doesn’t wander off). From there I demo the basics: turn the vacuum on first, feed your work in the same direction as the rotation (if you push the wrong way it’ll grab and throw), and don’t force it. If the sleeve isn’t cutting, pushing harder just risks burning the workpiece and wasting your time—replace the sanding sleeve even if it’s not cheap. I also show the rubber cleaning block for refreshing clogged sandpaper, the table tilt and why the insert is oval, and the safety stuff that matters: keep fingers out of pinch points, and absolutely no dangling hair, necklaces, or ties around a fast-spinning spindle.
