Fixing My Worst Design (sorry about that)

For 10% off your first purchase, go to: http://squarespace.com/makesomething A few months ago, I built a set of bar stools, but there was a fatal flaw in the design—the top was too heavy, and the angle caused the seats to break when they tipped over. After repairing them twice, I realized I needed to go back to the drawing board. In this video, I redesigned the seat and adjusted the weight distribution to create a more stable stool. I also experimented with power carving for the first time to shape the new seats. The process was challenging, but it taught me an important lesson: woodworking is all about learning from your mistakes and trying new things. Now, the stools are sturdier, and I’m excited to continue creating more pieces for my project house, where every piece of furniture is handmade with the goal of offering hands-on woodworking experiences to my viewers.
