Along the way, I discovered it was hickory and paired it with a stunning piece of Buckeye burl. Originally intended as a floor-standing art piece, it evolved into a wall-hanging design with contrasting matte and high-gloss finishes. This piece was all about letting the process lead the way and embracing unexpected moments of inspiration.
