I tried the Thorbolt X1 because I wanted a Thread lock that feels familiar and actually responds immediately at the door. The fingerprint unlock is the standout—fast, simple, and close enough to the “key in hand” experience that normal people actually enjoy using it.
Pros

- +Uses common AA batteries instead of oddball cells

Cons
- -Not Matter (at least today) and effectively Apple Home only
- -Takes eight AA batteries, which is more than I expected
- -Short pairing window (about 10 minutes) before re-entering pairing mode
